Examiners certainly have some influence on the assessment of examinations. Of practical relevance is whether this results in a serious reduction of objectivity and reliability. The aim of the study was to analyze the following examiner effects in an OSCE:
-
systematically lower or higher scores
-
unequal utilization of the scoring scales
-
and differences in the ability to differentiate between „good“ and „bad“ candidates („discriminatory power of examiner“)
