The so-called review, meaning the standardized content and formal evaluation of examination tasks, has become an essential component of quality-assured testing. With the IMS, as a UCAN partner, you have a comprehensive system for pre-review. The pre-review is the assessment of a question / item BEFORE use in an exam. You can either rate questions with the help of a checklist alone in an „individual review“ or with colleagues in a „group review“. The result of your review will then be displayed in the item list after the item in the „Review“ column. Reviews are thus an excellent opportunity for cooperation in the field of quality assurance.
The follow-up of the exam, the so-called post-review, serves to ensure the quality of the assessment procedure in a subject by detecting and correcting any deficiencies in tasks AFTER the examination has been carried out. For post-review, the Examinator2 embodies a powerful tool that allows you to quickly identify items that do not meet certain standards (difficulty, selectivity, discrimination index, etc.) using test statistics. You can then remove these questions in the Examinator from the evaluation, or change the points or the admissible answers in hindsight and thus ensure the reliability of the exam.
By the way: Did you know that you are credited with bonus points for conducting a review in the exam pool?
