UCAN-Anniversary-Report „The Journey of UCAN – Experience, Expertise, Engagement – Assessing together since 15 years“
This year, UCAN is looking back on 15 years of collaborative research, development of innovative examination formats, sharing of resources, and the development, implementation and evaluation of assessment standards. Bei UCAN sind über 60 Institutionen aus 7 Ländern organisiert, um sich gegenseitig bei der Erstellung und dem Austausch von Prüfungsinhalten, der Qualitätssicherung sowie der Weiterentwicklung ihrer Prüfungen zu unterstützen. Das diesjährige Treffen stand unter dem Motto „Zukunftsperspektiven für kompetenzorientiertes und qualitätsgesichertes Prüfen im Verbund“.
8th Meeting of the medical assessment consortium UCAN: “Collaborative Perspectives for Competency-based and Quality-assured Medical Assessment”
More than 60 institutions from 7 countries are organized by UCAN to help each other create and share exam content, ensure quality assurance and develop their exams. This year’s meeting was under the motto „Future perspectives for competence-oriented and quality-assured testing in a network“.
Development of a competency-based formative progress test with student-generated MCQs: Results from a multi-centre pilot study
Progresstests give students feedback about their knowledge growth during their studies. In medical education, peer-assisted learning and competence-based education have become increasingly important. While progresstests have proven to be a longitudinal feedback tool, there are no progression tests that have been developed in collaboration with students and that address the competence orientation of medical education.
