Das „Umbrella Consortium for Assessment Networks“ (UCAN) ist ein akademischer Verbund von 69 Institutionen, getragen vom gemeinnützigen Institut für Kommunikations- und Prüfungsforschung. Seit 14 Jahren werden in UCAN Standards, Workflows und Werkzeuge zur Vorbereitung, Durchführung und Qualitätssicherung von Prüfungen entwickelt.

The Umbrella Consortium for Assessment Networks (UCAN) is an academic network of 69 institutions, supported by the non-profit Institute for Communication and Examination Research. For 14 years, UCAN has been developing standards, workflows and tools for the preparation, execution and quality assurance of examinations.
„Are the batteries holding up?“ – Pilot project for tablet-based written exams at the Medical Faculty Carl Gustav Carus of the TU Dresden
On 16.07.2018, a written exam for all 220 students in the field of medical psychology/sociology was implemented exclusively electronically on tablets for the first time as part of a pilot project.
